COURSE CURRICULUM

This hospitality diploma program equips students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills for careers in the global hotel and hospitality industry. In the first semester, foundational courses in communication, service leadership, hospitality mathematics, front office and dining room operations, computer essentials, and the business of tourism establish essential industry competencies. The second semester builds on this foundation with courses in food theory and practice, housekeeping management, food and beverage operations, hospitality accounting, career strategies, and services marketing, along with a General Education course, ensuring students are prepared for workplace expectations. In the third semester, students develop expertise in guest security management, human resource management, financial management, and may select professional options or complete a General Education course, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application. Semester four emphasizes strategic supervision, hospitality law, management simulations, business development, and digital marketing, alongside additional professional options and a General Education course. Integrated industry externships in semesters three and four provide paid, real-world experience, allowing students to apply classroom learning, gain hands-on practice, and develop professional networks. Optional professional courses such as global cruise business, catering management, baking and confectionary, sommelier introduction, hospitality and cultural experiences, and live event planning enable students to specialize and diversify their skill set. The program cultivates service leadership, teamwork, business management, and decision-making, preparing graduates to excel in dynamic hospitality environments worldwide.
