COURSE CURRICULUM

Seneca’s Live Events Production and Management program offers a comprehensive, hands-on approach to preparing students for careers in the dynamic field of live events. Over four semesters, students gain practical and theoretical knowledge in planning, producing, and executing a wide range of events, including conferences, fundraisers, trade shows, entertainment, and sporting events. In the first semester, students build foundational skills in communication, visual design, multimedia, audio production, and live event production. The second semester advances their expertise with scriptwriting, advanced multimedia, corporate video production, event and production planning, and live event production techniques, alongside general education courses that enhance professional development. In the third semester, students focus on production scheduling, advanced multimedia systems, live event audio, electronic field video production, and event marketing and public relations, providing a deeper understanding of the logistical, technical, and promotional aspects of events. The final semester emphasizes real-world application through small business practices, advanced live event production, post-production workshops, and an industry field placement, allowing students to integrate and apply their skills in professional settings. Throughout the program, learners develop competencies in event planning, audio and video production, multimedia presentation, show calling, and virtual event production, ensuring they graduate as versatile, industry-ready professionals capable of managing and producing both live and digital events.
