COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business Administration program spans six semesters plus a work-integrated learning term, offering a structured yet flexible schedule. In Semester 1, students take foundational courses including Introduction to Canadian Business, Financial Mathematics, Computer Applications I, Financial Accounting, Business Presentation Strategy, and Writing Strategies, with most courses available in flexible delivery formats during the Winter and Fall terms. Semester 2 builds on this foundation with Business Statistics, Computer Applications II, Business Law, Management Accounting, Applied Communication, and Introduction to Human Resources, all offered flexibly across all terms. Semester 3 shifts to core business topics such as Marketing, Business Ethics, Finance, Organizational Behaviour, and Microeconomics, plus a Liberal Studies elective, with courses primarily offered in the Fall. Semester 4 focuses on applied learning with courses like Project Management, Innovation and Business Design, Global Sustainability, World Geography, Macroeconomics, Integrated Marketing Communications, and Work Term Preparation, available mostly in the Winter. The Work-Integrated Learning Term (BBA881) is delivered in Summer only and includes hybrid, online, and in-person options. Semester 5 introduces Strategic Management, Global Consultative Skills, and Operations Management, with all courses offered in the Fall. Semester 6 includes Strategic Business Solutions and International Business Management, along with a second Liberal Studies elective, primarily available in Winter. Students in the Business Management specialization also take Business to Business Marketing, Effective Selling, and Non-Profit Management in Semester 5, and Contemporary Issues in Sustainability, Leadership for Managers, and Global Supply Chain Management in Semester 6. These specialization courses are offered mainly in Fall and Winter terms. Overall, the program offers a mix of theoretical and practical learning with flexible delivery formats and a strong focus on real-world application through capstone projects and a dedicated work term.
