COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Behavioural Psychology program offers a structured eight-semester curriculum that builds foundational and advanced competencies in behavioural psychology and applied behaviour analysis through flexible, online, hybrid and HyFlex delivery. Early semesters introduce core concepts such as behaviour observation, measurement, experimental design, ABA principles, interpersonal communication, psychology fundamentals and human development. As students progress, the curriculum deepens with specialized courses in behaviour assessment, interventions, autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities, psychological disorders, acquired brain injury, ethics, forensic behaviour science and advanced intervention strategies, complemented by required liberal studies courses. Upper-level semesters focus on adulthood and aging, biological influences on behaviour, counselling theories, behavioural counselling, educational applications, special topics in behavioural analysis and applied statistics. Senior coursework includes industrial and organizational behaviour, research methods, mental health and addiction, lifespan behavioural interventions and professional preparation through a mandatory work-integrated learning term. The final semester emphasizes legislation and policy, behavioural gerontology, a capstone research project and a seminar on complementary therapies. Throughout the program, flexible course offerings ensure accessibility, while hands-on components such as labs, assessments, interventions and field placements prepare students for diverse professional roles in clinical, educational and community settings.
