COURSE CURRICULUM

The three-year Advanced Diploma in Human Resources provides students with a comprehensive education in all facets of human resources management, combining theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on experience. In the first semester, students build foundational business skills through courses such as Introduction to Business Administration, Mathematics of Business and Finance, Business Computer Applications, Professional Presentation Skills, and Communicating Across Contexts. The second semester deepens knowledge in HR fundamentals, including Introduction to Human Resources Management, Business Communication for the Digital Workplace, Accounting, Marketing, and Data Analysis Tools for Business. In the third semester, students focus on applied HR practices, covering Organizational Behaviour, Customer Service Solutions, Training Techniques and Practices, Management Accounting, and the Legal Environment, complemented by a general education course. The fourth semester emphasizes specialized HR skills, including Personnel Research Techniques and HRIS, Recruitment and Selection Techniques, Design and Administration of Compensation Plans, Occupational Health and Safety, and Business Statistics. In the fifth semester, students explore Economics for Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Pensions and Benefits, Consultative Skills in a Global Environment, and Indigenous Awareness, while preparing for the work-integrated learning term. The sixth semester integrates advanced topics such as Human Resources Planning and Development, Payroll Compliance Legislation, International Business Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, and career planning through Human Resources Administration, equipping graduates with the knowledge, technical skills, and practical experience required to succeed as effective HR professionals in diverse organizational settings.
