COURSE CURRICULUM

Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s Logistics and Supply Chain Management post-graduate certificate program is an intensive eight-month program designed for graduates with a bachelor’s degree seeking to advance their careers in the logistics and supply chain field. The program provides 30 semester credits over two semesters, combining theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on learning to prepare students for management roles in public and private enterprises. In the first semester, students build foundational skills in procurement, business communications, leadership and professionalism, supply chain management, and negotiation, developing the ability to coordinate resources, optimize operations, and make informed decisions in complex business environments. The second semester expands on this foundation with courses in strategic procurement, supply chain information systems, logistics and transportation, risk management, and operations management, emphasizing practical application through case studies, group projects, and industry-based exercises. Students develop expertise in sourcing, production, inventory control, distribution, and transportation management, as well as critical skills in budgeting, strategic planning, and leadership. By integrating real-world problem solving, advanced simulation exercises, and work-integrated learning opportunities through industry partnerships, the program ensures graduates are well-prepared to analyze, plan, and manage all aspects of the supply chain, equipping them with the knowledge and experience required to succeed in diverse roles in logistics and supply chain management across Saskatchewan, Canada, and beyond.
