COURSE CURRICULUM

The Cloud Computing and Blockchain post-graduate certificate program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic is designed to equip students with advanced skills in emerging digital technologies, building on their foundational knowledge from prior studies in information and communication technology. In the first semester, students gain a strong grounding in the fundamentals of cloud computing and blockchain, learning how to provision and secure cloud resources while understanding the principles and applications of blockchain technology, including smart contract development. Courses also emphasize business technology communications to prepare students to effectively convey technical concepts in professional environments. The second semester advances these skills through hands-on learning in cloud resource orchestration, cloud data management, and the integration of services using smart contracts. Students explore business innovation with DevOps practices and examine industry adoption of cloud computing through a capstone project, allowing them to apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios. Indigenous studies provide critical perspectives on cultural awareness and inclusive practices in technology deployment. Throughout the program, students develop the ability to evaluate, design, and implement cloud- and blockchain-based solutions that optimize resources, ensure security, and improve operational efficiency. Graduates are prepared to meet industry demand for professionals capable of designing, managing, and integrating innovative digital solutions in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
