COURSE CURRICULUM

The Information Security program offers a comprehensive two-year curriculum designed to equip students with advanced skills to protect digital assets, systems and data in an increasingly complex cybersecurity landscape. In Year 1, Term 1, students build foundational expertise through IT Security Risk Management, Security Architecture and Design, and Security Service Delivery, focusing on developing secure systems and mitigating threats. Term 2 advances these competencies with Security Program Management, Vulnerability Management and Ethical Hacking, and Security Resiliency Planning, providing both technical and managerial perspectives on safeguarding organizational assets. Year 2, Term 3, deepens practical and advanced knowledge with courses in Advanced Security Infrastructure, Managing Security Operations, and Digital Forensics and Incident Response, allowing students to address real-world security challenges and respond effectively to incidents. Term 4 emphasizes emerging trends and professional application through Security and AI, Governance, Audit and Compliance, and an Industry Project that offers hands-on experience in a professional environment. Throughout the program, students learn to implement security frameworks, align strategies with organizational goals, and ensure regulatory compliance while applying advanced technologies and methodologies.
