COURSE CURRICULUM

The Digital Film and Media Production program’s first year delivers an intensive, hands-on curriculum that develops advanced technical, creative and entrepreneurial skills through two focused terms. In Term 1, students begin with Communication for Film and TV 1: Scriptwriting, where they learn story structure and script development. Film Production 1 introduces core production workflows, while Freelance Video 1 builds practical skills in shooting, editing and client-based video creation. Compositing and Visual Effects 1 provides foundational post-production techniques, and Online Content Creation teaches strategies for developing digital-first media. Technical Production Skills rounds out the term by strengthening students’ abilities with professional equipment, lighting, audio and studio operations. Term 2 deepens all competencies with Communication for Film and TV 2, which expands writing and communication skills for screen-based media. Film Production 2 and Freelance Video 2 advance students’ production and client-management abilities, simulating professional industry environments. Compositing and Visual Effects 2 introduces more complex visual effects techniques, while Media Entrepreneurship equips students with business knowledge essential for freelancing and production management. The year concludes with an Industry Project focused on remote digital production, giving learners real-world experience and practical industry exposure. Together, these courses prepare graduates for diverse roles in film, media and freelance production.
