COURSE CURRICULUM

Communication Design program offers an intensive, studio-focused curriculum that blends creative exploration, technical skill-building and professional development through two structured terms. In Term 1, students begin with Media Exploration 1, where they experiment with various visual mediums, and Advanced Interaction Design 1, which introduces complex digital and interactive design practices. Mentorship 1 provides early professional guidance, while Community Design 1 encourages socially engaged projects that connect design thinking with real-world contexts. Communication Design 1 forms the core of the term, helping students develop conceptual, strategic and visual communication skills, and Advanced Typography 1 strengthens their understanding of type, form and hierarchy. Term 2 builds directly on this foundation with Media Exploration 2 and Advanced Interaction Design 2, deepening students’ creative versatility and technical proficiency. Mentorship 2 continues to support personalized professional feedback, and Community Design 2 expands on collaborative, community-driven design practices. Communication Design 2 advances students’ ability to develop refined, conceptually strong design solutions, while Advanced Typography 2 pushes typographic experimentation further. The term concludes with Portfolio Presentation, allowing students to begin compiling, refining and presenting their work. Together, these courses provide a rigorous first-year experience that prepares students for advanced study and professional readiness.
