COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Administration – Human Resource Management program at RRC Polytech is structured over two years, providing a comprehensive curriculum that combines foundational business courses with specialized HR training. In the first year, students begin with essential courses such as Accounting Fundamentals, Communication Strategies, Human Resource Management, Business Mathematics, and Marketing Foundations, building a strong base in core business principles. The second term introduces Research Methods, Organizational Behaviour, Communication for Business, Economics, Recruitment and Selection, and Conflict Resolution, equipping students with practical skills to manage workplace dynamics and engage effectively with teams. In the second year, Term 3 focuses on Ethics, Diversity and Sustainability, Client Relationships, Human Resources Communications, Training and Development, and Workplace Health and Safety, emphasizing strategic HR practices and professional communication. Term 4 advances students’ knowledge through Business Strategy, Business Law, HR Strategic Management and Planning, Compensation and Benefits, and Labour Relations, preparing graduates to manage workforce planning, implement policies, and foster positive organizational culture. Across both years, students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and leadership abilities alongside technical HR expertise, aligning the program with industry standards. Graduates are well-prepared for careers in human resources, organizational development, and talent management and can begin the Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) certification process, including potential exemptions from the National Knowledge Exam.
