COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Administration – Accounting program at RRC Polytech provides a comprehensive two-year curriculum designed to develop both foundational and specialized knowledge in business and accounting. In the first year, students complete core courses in Accounting Fundamentals, Financial Accounting, Business Mathematics, Marketing Foundations, Communication Strategies, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behaviour, Research Methods, and Economics, complemented by electives such as Supply Chain Management, Integrated Marketing Communications, Personal Finance, Recruitment and Selection, Project Management, and Tourism-related courses. In the second year, students progress to advanced accounting and business courses including Intermediate Accounting 1 and 2, Accounting Applications, Cost Accounting, Business Strategy, Business Law, Ethics, Diversity and Sustainability, and Client Relationships, while also selecting from a wide range of electives tailored to specific interests and career goals. Elective options span taxation, entrepreneurship, international business, operations and quality management, digital marketing, financial services, insurance, investment funds, human resource strategy, labour relations, and supply chain integration. The curriculum combines theoretical learning with practical application through case studies, projects, and real-world scenarios, ensuring students gain the critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills required for professional success. Graduates of this program are well-equipped for careers in accounting, finance, management, and related business fields, and courses may also qualify for transfer credit toward the CPA Professional Education Program.
