COURSE CURRICULUM

Civil Engineering Technology program, students can choose to specialize in Municipal Engineering Technology, where they begin developing the technical and professional skills required to support a wide range of private and public organizations. In Term 4, the focus shifts to essential civil and municipal concepts, including infrastructure design, soil behavior, water systems and construction fundamentals, building a strong foundation for more advanced work. Term 5 features a paid co-op placement that allows students to apply their classroom learning in real industry environments, gain practical work experience, strengthen their résumés and make valuable connections with potential employers. By Term 6, students integrate their co-op learning and advance their technical abilities by studying complex design principles, material properties, municipal systems and project management while also exploring applied research opportunities that deepen their understanding of industry challenges. This specialization prepares graduates for careers in construction, transportation, water resources, environmental protection and more. As an added option, students may transfer their RRC Polytech credits to the University of Manitoba for direct admission into the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering program, offering a clear academic pathway for those seeking further professional and educational advancement.
