COURSE CURRICULUM

The Application Development and Delivery program provides a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with the technical and professional skills needed for modern software development. In Year 1, students begin with foundational courses such as Software Development Fundamentals, IT Fundamentals, and Customer Experience and User Experience for Developers, while also developing communication and service management skills relevant to software environments. In Term 2, the focus shifts to Networking and Troubleshooting for Developers, database concepts in Transforming Data Into Databases, Front-End Development, and Intermediate Software Development. Year 2 deepens students' expertise with advanced topics like Back-End Development, Application Design and Delivery, Cloud Infrastructure and Development, and Secure Coding and Testing. Communication skills for systems and innovation are also emphasized. In the final term, students take courses in Full Stack Development and Developing in a DevOps Environment, applying Agile and collaborative practices to real-world projects. A wide range of electives—such as IT Architecture and Design, Data Science, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Cybersecurity, and Advanced Front-End Development—allow students to customize their learning pathways. In Year 3, students can choose to complete a co-op placement or an industry project to gain valuable hands-on experience. This program prepares graduates for dynamic roles in software and application development, including Full Stack Developer, Front-End or Back-End Developer, DevOps Engineer, or Software Developer, by combining theoretical knowledge with practical, project-based learning that reflects the needs of the modern tech industry.
