COURSE CURRICULUM

The Game Development – Programming curriculum spans two years and progressively builds technical, creative and professional skills through structured coursework. In Year 1, students begin with foundational studies in narrative design, software development, programming, game studio practices, applied mathematics and game business management across two terms, each reinforcing core competencies in coding, documentation, teamwork and industry awareness. Year 2 advances these skills with higher-level courses in narrative design, programming, applied mathematics and business management, while introducing specialized subjects such as Game Development 1 and 2, along with Modern Tech in Games, which exposes learners to emerging tools and techniques shaping the industry. Throughout the program, Game Studio courses remain central, providing hands-on, team-based development experience that mirrors real production environments. The final term includes electives alongside a co-op placement and an industry project, allowing students to apply their accumulated knowledge in professional settings, gain practical experience, build industry connections and produce portfolio-ready work. This curriculum ensures graduates are well-rounded, technically proficient and prepared for the collaborative and evolving nature of modern game development.
