COURSE CURRICULUM

The Game Development – Art program offers students a comprehensive blend of creative, technical, and business skills necessary for a successful career in the video game industry. Over two years, students progress through a series of courses that develop their abilities in narrative and game development, visual artistry, content creation, motion and animation, and business management. In the first year, foundational courses such as Development and Narrative Design 1 and 2, Game Content Creation 1 and 2, Visual Artistry 1 and 2, and Game Studio 1 and 2 teach students to design engaging game mechanics, create 2D and 3D assets, and produce functioning prototypes in a collaborative studio environment. Motion and Animation courses build skills in character and object animation, while Game Business Management introduces the entrepreneurial and management concepts needed to run independent game projects. In the second year, students advance these skills through Development and Narrative Design 3 and 4, Game Content Creation 3 and 4, Visual Artistry 3 and 4, and Game Studio 3 and 4, fostering sophisticated game design, storytelling, and artistic techniques. Elective opportunities such as co-op placements and industry projects provide real-world experience, enabling students to build professional portfolios, collaborate on integrated projects, and develop the technical, creative, and professional expertise required to launch careers as game artists, animators, designers, or independent developers in the gaming industry.
