COURSE CURRICULUM

The Administrative Professional Certificate program provides students with comprehensive training in essential office skills required to thrive in modern business environments. All students complete the same eleven core courses, ensuring a consistent and thorough foundation across administrative, technical, and interpersonal competencies. The curriculum includes instruction in keyboarding, office procedures, records and database management, business communications, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software. Students will also develop professional skills such as time management, teamwork, and customer service, which are critical for success in diverse office settings. Courses are delivered with a practical, hands-on approach that prepares graduates to confidently manage administrative responsibilities in a wide range of industries, including healthcare, legal, government, education, and corporate environments. In addition to the coursework, students participate in a practicum during the Spring Term, where they gain real-world experience in a professional workplace. This field placement allows students to apply their knowledge, build confidence, and make valuable industry connections that often lead to employment opportunities.
