COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Science (MSc) in Translational Medicine at Queen’s University is structured to provide a comprehensive research and clinical training experience, requiring a minimum of 12 credit units for completion. The program includes three core courses—TMED 800, TMED 801, and TMED 802—that provide foundational knowledge in translational medicine, integrating principles of biomedical research with clinical applications. In addition to the core courses, students complete 3 credits of elective courses selected based on their individual research interests, allowing for specialization and exploration of topics that complement their thesis work. The program culminates in a research thesis project (TMED 899), where students apply their knowledge and skills to a substantive research question, generating original contributions to the field of translational medicine. Through the combination of core coursework, elective study, and an intensive thesis project, students gain expertise in both the theoretical and practical aspects of translating biomedical discoveries into clinical applications.
