COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Strategy curriculum is designed to provide students with a comprehensive foundation in strategic management, organization theory, and research methods, equipping them to pursue rigorous academic or professional careers. All students begin with core courses that establish essential research skills, including Research Foundations and a Major Research Project, which serve as the backbone for the program. Specialization courses focus on key areas of strategic management, such as Contemporary Organization Theory and Nonmarket Strategy, and the Strategy Process, allowing students to explore how organizations develop and implement strategies to achieve competitive advantage, adapt to industry evolution, and respond to social and institutional pressures. Electives, selected with supervisor approval, provide flexibility for students to tailor their studies to specific research interests, such as organizational behavior or advanced topics in organization theory, enabling deeper engagement with theoretical and empirical questions. The curriculum also emphasizes methodological rigor through a series of courses in statistics, qualitative research design, experimental research methods, and survey research design, which ensure students are proficient in both quantitative and qualitative approaches to analyzing organizational and strategic phenomena. With a total of 19.5 credits, the program integrates theoretical knowledge, methodological training, and applied research experience to prepare graduates for doctoral studies, consulting, corporate strategy roles, or research-intensive careers in academia or industry.
