COURSE CURRICULUM

The International Business MSc curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in research methods, global strategy, and cross-cultural management while offering flexibility for specialization and advanced study. The program begins with core courses in research foundations and a major research project, which equip students with essential analytical and methodological skills required for rigorous investigation in international business contexts. Specialization courses such as contemporary organization theory and nonmarket strategy, along with strategy process, allow students to examine how firms operate and compete in complex global markets, integrating insights from organizational theory, strategy, and international business. Students also have the opportunity to select electives approved by their supervisor, which may include courses in quantitative methodology, structural equation modeling, or other advanced topics, providing the chance to tailor the program to individual research interests and career goals. Methods and related field courses, including statistics, qualitative, experimental, and survey research methods, further strengthen students’ capacity to conduct empirical research and apply sophisticated analytical techniques. With a total of 19.5 credits, the curriculum balances theoretical knowledge, methodological expertise, and applied research, preparing graduates for careers in multinational corporations, consulting, international trade, policy analysis, and research-intensive roles, as well as for further doctoral studies in international business and management.
