COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Information Systems curriculum is designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of both foundational and advanced concepts in information systems, research methods, and applied management. Students begin with core courses that establish essential research skills, including Research Foundations and the Major Research Project, which allow them to develop the analytical and methodological expertise required to address complex organizational challenges. The specialization component includes courses such as Foundations of MIS I and II, providing a deep grounding in the principles, design, and management of information systems, while elective courses, selected with supervisor approval, allow for advanced exploration in areas such as the design, development, and implementation of information systems or management support systems. To complement these technical and applied courses, students also complete methods and related field courses in quantitative and qualitative research, including Statistics I, Qualitative Research Method Design, Experimental Research Method Design, and Survey Research Method Design, ensuring they are proficient in the tools needed to conduct rigorous, evidence-based research. With a total of 19.5 credits, the program integrates theoretical knowledge with practical skills, preparing graduates for doctoral studies or professional careers in consulting, information technology, government agencies, and other sectors where advanced expertise in information systems and research methods is critical.
