COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of International Business program at Queen’s University provides students with a comprehensive foundation in global business management through a combination of required and elective courses designed to develop analytical, strategic, and professional skills. All students are required to complete core courses including MGBL 801 Business in the Global Economy, MGBL 804 Global Strategy, MGBL 806 Professional Skills Development Workshop, MGBL 840 Digital Skills for a Connected World, MGBL 853 Leading Global Teams, and MGBL 901 Team Project, which together equip students with essential knowledge of international business environments, leadership, and collaborative problem-solving. In addition, students take 18 units of elective courses to deepen expertise in specialized areas such as managing projects in international contexts, global social impact, international investment banking, finance for global managers, international marketing strategy, global sales management, global operations management, international analytics and big data, business and management in the Asia-Pacific region, and international entrepreneurship. Students also have the option to participate in MGBL 903 Internship Course, providing practical exposure to real-world global business challenges and enhancing professional development. By combining rigorous academic training with applied learning, the MGBL program prepares graduates to lead and innovate in complex international business settings, equipping them with the strategic insight, technical competence, and cross-cultural skills required to succeed in global markets.
