COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology requires a total of 120.00 units, consisting of core psychology courses, elective options, supporting courses, and other requirements. Core courses include Principles of Psychology (6.00 units), Statistics in Psychology (3.00), Research Methods in Psychology (3.00), Advanced Statistical Inference (3.00), and Advanced Research Methods (3.00). Students must complete 12.00 units from courses in cognitive, clinical, social, developmental, or brain and behaviour. Additionally, they choose between a seminar option, involving 9.00 units of 400-level PSYC courses, or a thesis option with PSYC 501. Students also complete 12.00 units from four specialized course lists covering clinical, cognitive/neuroscience, developmental, and social psychology, along with 3.00 units from PSYC labs. At least 6.00 units must be taken at the 300-level or above, and 3.00 units at the 200-level or above. Supporting courses include 12.00 units from biology, chemistry, computing science, mathematics, and physics, providing a solid scientific foundation.
