COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) program in Environmental Studies at Queen’s offers a comprehensive and interdisciplinary curriculum designed to provide students with a deep understanding of the complex interactions between natural systems, human societies, and sustainability challenges. Students begin with foundational courses in biology, ecology, physical geography, and environmental sustainability, developing a strong grounding in the principles that govern ecosystems, human-environment interactions, and resource management. Core courses in environmental toxicology, environmental transformations, sustainability principles, environmental assessment, and applications of sustainability prepare students to analyze, evaluate, and address contemporary environmental issues.
