COURSE CURRICULUM

The Employment Relations General Plan is a Bachelor of Arts program designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of workplace dynamics, human resource practices, and labour relations, requiring a total of 90.00 units including sufficient electives. The program begins with foundational courses such as EMPR 100, Introduction to Employment Relations, and EMPR 110, Workplace Communication and Interpersonal Skills, which introduce students to key concepts, effective workplace interactions, and the fundamentals of managing employment relationships. Students then advance to higher-level options, completing 6.00 units from 300-level EMPR courses or EMPR substitutions, allowing for specialized study in areas such as conflict resolution, collective bargaining, or employment law. Further, students are required to complete 9.00 units from EMPR courses at the 200-level or above and an additional 9.00 units from the 200-level curriculum, ensuring a well-rounded exposure to both foundational and intermediate topics in employment relations.
