COURSE CURRICULUM

The Engineering Physics program with an Electrical Sub-Plan offers a comprehensive education integrating fundamental physics, mathematics, and electrical engineering principles to prepare students for advanced technological careers. In the second year, students complete core courses such as Engineering Design & Practice II, Engineering Communications, Vector Analysis, Differential Equations, Relativity and Quanta, Oscillations, Waves, and Optics, Engineering Electricity and Magnetism, and a computational engineering physics course, alongside Electrical courses including Electronics I, Digital Systems, and Signals and Systems, totaling 46 units. The third year builds on this foundation with Quantum Mechanics, Engineering Physics Design Project, Quantum Physics of Atoms, Experiment Design, and Mathematical Methods in Physics, paired with Electronics II, Mechanics, Solid State Devices, Thermodynamics, and Probability and Random Processes, giving students both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. In the fourth year, students focus on Electromagnetic Theory, Advanced Physics Laboratory, the Engineering Physics Design Project, and a thesis, supplemented by an engineering elective. Additionally, the Electrical Sub-Plan requires advanced Electrical courses such as Electric Machines, Sensors and Actuators, Digital Signal Processing, Power Electronics, Robotics, Communications, and biomedical or control systems courses, allowing students to specialize in cutting-edge electrical technologies. This integrated program equips graduates with expertise in physics, electronics, and engineering design, fostering problem-solving, analytical, and research skills for careers in applied physics, electrical engineering, and high-tech industries.
