COURSE CURRICULUM

The Church Ministries program at Providence University College offers a diverse range of courses that provide students with a strong foundation for effective leadership and service within church and ministry contexts. Courses like Christian Spirituality: Formations focus on personal spiritual growth and the development of a mature, Christ-centered identity, while Marriage and Family explores biblical and practical perspectives on relationships and family life, preparing students to support individuals and families in ministry settings. International Development and Missions broadens students’ global awareness and equips them to engage thoughtfully and ethically in cross-cultural ministry and service. Principles of Teaching and Learning provides essential skills for communicating biblical truths and leading educational programs within the church, while Homiletics trains students in the preparation and delivery of sermons, helping them develop as effective communicators of the Gospel. The Ministry Practicum offers hands-on experience in a real ministry environment, allowing students to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom to practical service in churches, youth programs, or outreach settings. Together, these courses foster both spiritual and professional growth, equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to serve faithfully and effectively in a variety of ministry roles, from pastoral leadership to community engagement.
