COURSE CURRICULUM

The Massage Therapy curriculum is designed to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills required to become competent and professional massage therapists capable of treating a wide range of physical conditions. In the first year, students build a strong foundation through courses such as Medical Terminology, Massage Theory and Practical, Assessment, Systems Anatomy and Physiology, Musculoskeletal Anatomy, Pathology, Neurobiology, Pharmacology, Joint Mobilizations, Remedial Exercise, and Applications of Research into Practice. These subjects help students understand the human body, develop hands-on massage techniques, and learn how to assess and manage various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. The curriculum emphasizes both theoretical understanding and practical clinical application. In the second year, students advance into specialized therapeutic techniques and rehabilitation-focused practices. Courses include Advanced Massage Theory and Practical, Therapeutic Exercise, Hydrotherapy Theory and Practical, Business and Professional Development, Advanced Gross Anatomy, Pathophysiology, Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Post-Surgical Conditions. Students gain deeper knowledge of injury management, rehabilitation, movement science, and patient care while also learning professional and business skills needed for a successful healthcare career. The program prepares graduates to deliver evidence-based massage therapy treatments and work effectively in clinical, wellness, rehabilitation, or private practice environments.
