COURSE CURRICULUM

The MASc program in Mechatronics Engineering offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to prepare students for advanced research and development careers. The program includes a blend of coursework, supervised research, seminars, and a thesis. Key courses cover advanced topics such as optimization, smart materials, engineering mathematics, programming methodology, and engineering communication. Specialized courses focus on robotics, automation, advanced mechatronics including MEMS and nanotechnology, manipulator design, and advanced control systems. Students can also explore project management, software engineering foundations, embedded real-time control systems, adaptive and intelligent control, and mobile robotic systems. The program further offers specialized courses in artificial intelligence and machine learning methods, control design in robotic systems, model predictive control, nonlinear control, advanced system dynamics, biomechatronic systems, neuromechanics, and robotic manipulators.
