COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science in Psychology program offers a comprehensive curriculum that integrates foundational courses in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics with extensive psychology training. Students begin with core science classes such as Biology I and II, Chemistry I and II, Physics for Biosciences, and Mathematics for Bioscience, alongside Introductory Psychology and Sociology. As they advance, students delve into specialized psychology courses covering developmental, social, cognitive, and clinical psychology, including Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Psychopathology, Brain and Behaviour, and Cognitive Psychology. Research methods and data analysis are emphasized through courses like Research Methods in Psychology and Advanced Data Analysis. Upper-level offerings include Personality Psychology, Emotion, Stress and Coping, Social Affective Neuroscience, Drugs and Behaviour, and Developmental Psychopathology. Neuroscience-focused classes such as Fundamentals of Neuroscience, Neuropharmacology, and Cognitive Neuroscience provide deeper biological insights. Additional courses address specialized topics like Child Maltreatment, Mental Health, Forensic Treatment, and Aging.
