COURSE CURRICULUM

The Nanophysics specialization includes a comprehensive curriculum that blends core physics with advanced topics in nanotechnology, mathematics, computing, and chemistry. Foundational courses such as CHEM 1010U and 1020U (Chemistry I and II), MATH 1000U to 2060U (Introductory Calculus through Differential Equations), and PHY 1010U to 1020U (Physics I and II) establish strong scientific fundamentals. Core physics content continues through courses like PHY 2010U (Electricity and Magnetism I), PHY 2030U and 2040U (Mechanics I and II), and PHY 2050U (Thermodynamics). Advanced studies include PHY 3020U and 4020U (Quantum Mechanics I and II), PHY 3010U (Statistical Mechanics), PHY 4010U (Condensed Matter), and PHY 4510U (Physics of Nanotechnology), which focus on nanoscale systems and their energy applications. Complementary learning in biology, programming, and data analysis is provided through courses such as BIOL 1010U and 1020U, CSCI 1040U and 2000U, and STAT 2010U.
