COURSE CURRICULUM

The Mechatronics Engineering curriculum at Ontario Tech University offers a comprehensive and interdisciplinary blend of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering courses designed to equip students with the skills needed to design and develop advanced electromechanical systems. Beginning with foundational courses such as Technical Communications, Introduction to Engineering, Calculus, Physics, Chemistry for Engineers, and Programming, students build a solid base in essential engineering principles. Core mechanical engineering topics such as Statics, Solid Mechanics, Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Machine Design, and Control Systems further strengthen students’ understanding of mechanical principles. Advanced courses focus on robotics, automation, real-time embedded systems, industrial automation, mobile robotics, and machine vision, integrating practical skills with theoretical knowledge.
