COURSE CURRICULUM

The Automotive Engineering program offers a curriculum designed to equip students with the technical expertise and practical skills needed in the rapidly evolving automotive industry. In the first year, students build a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, chemistry, engineering design, programming, and technical communication, along with an understanding of the societal impact of science and technology. The second year introduces core engineering principles such as electric circuits, materials science, statics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and automotive fundamentals, combined with computational applications and statistics. In the third year, students deepen their knowledge through specialized courses like automotive component design, manufacturing processes, computer-aided design, control systems, vibrations, combustion engines, instrumentation, and engineering economics, alongside liberal studies electives for broader perspectives. The final year focuses on advanced topics including vehicle dynamics, electric and hybrid vehicles, vehicle systems design, and ethics in engineering, while students complete a two-part capstone project that integrates their learning into real-world automotive system design. Engineering electives throughout the later years allow students to tailor their expertise further. This well-rounded program prepares graduates to innovate and lead in automotive design, manufacturing, and development, addressing the challenges of modern vehicles and sustainable transportation technologies.
