COURSE CURRICULUM

The Sustainability program offers a broad and interdisciplinary curriculum that integrates natural sciences, social sciences, health sciences, engineering, and policy studies to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and skills to address global sustainability challenges. Core courses such as Fundamentals of Sustainability I and II provide foundational understanding of science, technology, health, and social dimensions, while advanced courses delve into specialized topics like ecology, environmental science, energy systems, conservation biology, and environmental toxicology. The program also emphasizes policy, law, and Indigenous perspectives, offering courses on environmental law, global politics, Indigenous sustainability, and community development, fostering a well-rounded understanding of sustainability’s social and ethical aspects. Statistics, research methods, and communication courses enhance students’ analytical and presentation skills, preparing them for evidence-based decision-making and advocacy.
