COURSE CURRICULUM

The Post-Degree Diploma in Industrial and Organizational Psychology consists of 60 credits (915 hours) and is structured to provide an interdisciplinary foundation across language, social sciences, management, behavioral sciences, and electives. The program begins with a communication course, ENGL110 (3 credits), to strengthen professional writing and workplace communication skills. In the social sciences stream (6 credits), students take COMM301 (Organizational Communications) and ECON105 (Principles of Economics), offering insight into economic principles and effective communication within organizations. The management component (19 credits) includes courses such as Principles of Management, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, Safety Management, Quantitative Methods or Statistics, and two courses focused on project management—tailored especially for those entering health administration fields. The behavioral sciences core (18 credits) explores psychological theory and its workplace application through courses in introductory psychology, research methods, personal adjustment, organizational behavior, and applied behavioral psychology. To tailor the diploma to specific interests or career goals, students complete 15 credits of electives from a diverse list that includes computing, business ethics, sustainability, abnormal psychology, social psychology, communication skills, and social work. This diploma provides a comprehensive framework to support careers in HR, workplace wellness, consulting, or further graduate study in psychology or management fields.
