The Cybersecurity post-diploma program is structured over two terms, offering a well-rounded curriculum that combines foundational knowledge, technical skills, and strategic understanding of cybersecurity. In Term 1, students begin with CYBR3000 Cybersecurity Standards & Regulations, which covers the legal, regulatory, and ethical frameworks that govern cybersecurity practices. CYBR3010 Cybersecurity Foundations introduces the basic principles, concepts, and technologies that form the backbone of the field. CYBR3020 Vulnerabilities and Exploits focuses on identifying system weaknesses and understanding how attackers exploit them, providing critical insight into threat detection and prevention. CYBR3030 Identity Management teaches students how to control and secure user access to systems, ensuring appropriate authorization and authentication measures are in place. CYBR3040 Human Security addresses the human factors in cybersecurity, including social engineering and user behavior, highlighting the importance of awareness and training in reducing risk. In Term 2, students move into more advanced and applied topics. CYBR3050 Cybersecurity Planning emphasizes the development of effective security strategies and long-term planning. CYBR3060 Information Security Risk Management provides tools and techniques to assess and mitigate security risks. CYBR3070 Professional Practice prepares students for real-world challenges by focusing on ethical decision-making and workplace readiness. CYBR3080 IT Service Delivery Security explores the protection of IT services and infrastructure, ensuring secure operations. Finally, CYBR3090 Cyberthreat Intelligence trains students to gather, analyze, and respond to threat data, enhancing proactive defense capabilities. Together, these courses prepare graduates for a range of cybersecurity roles with strong technical and strategic skills.
