COURSE CURRICULUM

The Veterinary Technology program offers a comprehensive course lineup designed to equip students with essential knowledge and practical skills in animal healthcare. In Term 1, students study Immunology and Infectious Diseases of Companion Animals, Clinics: Theory and Practice, Anatomic Pathophysiology focused on Support and Movement, Clinical Laboratory Procedures I, Animal Behavior and Handling, and Medical Records Management. Term 2 deepens medical expertise with courses in Medical and Surgical Nursing, Anatomic Pathophysiology: Function and Continuity, Anesthesiology, Clinical Laboratory Procedures II, Parasitology, and Veterinary Communication Principles. In Term 3, the focus shifts to Infectious Diseases of Horses and Food Animals, Specialized Patient Care, Pharmacology, Small Animal Clinics: Theory and Practice, Equine Clinics, and Applied Diagnostic Imaging. Term 4 covers Animal Nutrition, Small and Food Animal Clinics, Client Services, and Veterinary Communication Practice, emphasizing client interaction and comprehensive care. The program culminates in Term 5 with an extensive Clinical Experience course, providing real-world hands-on training. This structured curriculum ensures graduates develop a solid foundation in veterinary medicine, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application, preparing them for diverse roles in veterinary clinics, animal hospitals, research, and other animal health sectors.
