COURSE CURRICULUM

The Narrative Cinema Production program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to develop both creative storytelling and technical production skills. In Term 1, students learn the basics of digital technology, storytelling for fiction, global industry communications, digital video and sound capture, and production planning. Term 2 builds on this foundation with courses on professionalism in the global film industry, storytelling through post-production, storytelling across various formats and genres, intellectual property and monetization, and nonfiction storytelling. In Term 3, students advance their skills in cinematography, directing, sound design, and both fiction and nonfiction production, alongside leadership training for the global screen industry. Term 4 focuses on preparing students for the professional world with courses on personal branding, advanced post-production, a narrative cinema production capstone project, producing for the global marketplace, and advanced script development. This curriculum equips students with a strong practical and theoretical understanding of the entire production process, from initial concept and scriptwriting to filming, editing, and producing market-ready content. Graduates are well-prepared to take on roles such as producers, directors, editors, and screenwriters in film studios, television networks, streaming services, and independent production companies worldwide.
