COURSE CURRICULUM

The Television program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip students with the skills needed for success in the dynamic media industry. In Term 1, students begin with foundational courses such as Media Writing Standards, Marketing Foundations, Journalism and Storytelling Fundamentals, Professional Communications in Media, Introduction to Online Media, and Media Production Fundamentals. Term 2 builds on these skills with courses in Post Production, Intermediate Online Media, Television News, Television On-Air Performance and Studio Production, Branded Content Development, and Videography. In Term 3, students advance their expertise through Advanced Post Production, Advanced Studio Production, Advanced Online Media, Mobile Journalism, Advanced Videography, and Applied Television News and Performance. The final term focuses on Career Strategies and an Industry Work Placement, allowing students to gain real-world experience and prepare for their professional careers. Throughout the program, students develop technical skills in video production, editing, on-air performance, and digital content creation while learning to craft compelling stories for diverse audiences. This blend of theory, practical training, and industry exposure ensures graduates are well-prepared for roles such as videographers, producers, editors, reporters, and digital content creators in television and media production.
