COURSE CURRICULUM

The Landscape Architectural Technology program offers a comprehensive course lineup that builds foundational and advanced skills in outdoor space design and construction. In Term 1, students focus on Technical Communications, Landscape Construction Detailing, Plant Identification and Application, Introduction to AutoCAD, Landscape Presentation Techniques, and Professional Practice. Term 2 introduces Presentation Applications, Landscape Construction Drawings, Landscape Architectural Design, Landscape Presentation Technologies, and Technical Mathematics, helping students develop both technical and creative abilities. Term 3 dives deeper into Planting Construction Drawings, Planting Design, Site Administration, Site Water Management, Landscape Architectural History, and Site Analysis and Design, broadening students’ understanding of environmental and historical context alongside practical skills. In Term 4, students explore Urban Theory and Design, Site Grading, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for Landscape Architecture, and REVIT software, culminating in a Landscape Architecture Final Project that synthesizes all learning. This course structure ensures students gain proficiency in industry-standard software like AutoCAD, GIS, and REVIT while developing the technical knowledge and design thinking essential for careers in landscape architectural technology. The program prepares graduates for diverse roles in municipal planning, consulting, environmental firms, or entrepreneurship within landscape design and architecture.
