COURSE CURRICULUM

The Microelectronics Engineering Technology program’s coursework combines foundational knowledge with advanced technical skills, preparing students for a dynamic career in electronics. In Term 1, students build a strong base with courses like Digital Electronics, Electric Circuits, Programming Fundamentals, Technical Mathematics and Calculus I, and Technical Communications. Term 2 focuses on Operating Systems and Data Networking Essentials, Electronic Devices and Circuits, Introduction to Microcontrollers, Electronic Fabrication, and advanced mathematics with Calculus II and Statistics.In Term 3, students dive deeper into Power Electronic Devices and Circuits, Microcontroller Applications, Carrier Communications I, Sensors and Controllers, and develop critical troubleshooting and technical documentation skills. Term 4 culminates the program with a Technical Project where students apply their knowledge practically, along with advanced courses in Carrier Communications II, Industrial Automation, and Professional Practice, emphasizing industry readiness and workplace professionalism.Throughout the program, hands-on experience and theory are integrated to provide a comprehensive understanding of microelectronic systems, embedded technologies, and communication networks. This well-rounded curriculum equips graduates with the skills to excel in electronics engineering technologist roles, specializing in systems installation, maintenance, and automation within diverse industries.
