COURSE CURRICULUM

The Electrical Engineering Technology program includes a comprehensive range of courses designed to build both foundational knowledge and advanced skills. In Term 1, students study Design I, Electrical Fundamentals, Professional Skills and Data Communication, and Technical Mathematics and Calculus I, establishing essential concepts in electrical theory and professional practice. Term 2 focuses on controls and programmable logic controllers, three-phase fundamentals, transformers, power electronics I, and Calculus II with statistics, deepening understanding of electrical systems and control technologies. Term 3 advances skills with courses in Programmable Logic Controllers, Design II, Field Service, Rotating Electrical Machines I, and Power Systems, emphasizing practical applications and complex machine operations. In the final Term 4, students take Design III, complete a Final Project, and study Rotating Electrical Machines II, Protective Relaying, and Power Electronics II, preparing for real-world problem-solving and advanced electrical system protection. This structured curriculum equips students with the technical expertise and hands-on experience needed for success in the electrical engineering technology field.
