COURSE CURRICULUM

The Digital Design program’s course structure offers a comprehensive blend of core and specialized classes to build strong foundational and advanced skills. In Level 1, students begin with essential courses such as Interpersonal Design Practices and Ethical Standards, Digital Design Tools, and Introduction to Graphic Design, alongside practical courses like Layout Design, Introduction to UX/UI Design, and both Introduction to Web Design and Responsive Web Design. Level 2 deepens collaboration and design expertise with courses like Collaborative Design Practices, Introduction to Multimedia, Typography, User Interface Design, User Experience Design, Accessible Web Design, and Content Strategy. For students focusing on the Visual Communication Design stream, additional courses include Visual Identity Design, Digital Illustration, Colour Theory, and Design for Advertising, which enhance creative and technical skills tailored to branding and advertising. In Level 3, students complete the program with a Digital Design Capstone project that integrates and applies their accumulated knowledge to real-world challenges. This curriculum ensures graduates are well-prepared to enter careers as UX/UI designers, visual designers, content strategists, or web developers, equipped with a balanced skill set in creative design, user experience, and technical web development.
