COURSE CURRICULUM

The Dental Technology program consists of four terms designed to build foundational knowledge and advanced skills in the fabrication and repair of dental appliances. In Term 1, students study Orofacial Anatomy and learn introductory lab skills in Fixed Prosthodontics and Complete Dentures, alongside Digital Dentistry and Infection Prevention and Control. Term 2 focuses on Removable Partial Dentures, Orthodontics, Intermediate Complete Denture Fabrication, and Intermediate Fixed Prosthodontics, with an emphasis on interprofessional dental education. Term 3 advances students’ expertise through Intermediate Removable Partial Denture Fabrication, Intermediate Orthodontic Fabrication, and Advanced Complete Denture and Fixed Prosthodontics fabrication. This term also prepares students for patient care. In the final Term 4, students master Advanced Removable Partial Denture Fabrication, Advanced Orthodontics Fabrication, and Applied Complete Denture and Fixed Prosthodontics, consolidating their skills in real-world applications. Throughout the program, students gain hands-on experience with the latest dental technologies and materials, preparing them to contribute effectively as dental technologists. This comprehensive curriculum ensures graduates are skilled in both the artistic and technical aspects of dental appliance creation, ready to support dental health teams with precision and professionalism.
