POWT1106 Instrumentation Systems covers the operation and troubleshooting of instruments used to monitor and control industrial equipment. POWT1122 Safety and Workplace Communication emphasizes safe work practices and effective communication skills vital in industrial environments. POWT1144 4A Power Lab offers hands-on experience working with low-pressure boilers and associated systems, while POWT1333 Introduction to Boiler Systems and Administration familiarizes students with boiler operation and regulatory requirements. In Term 2, students advance to POWT1211 Industrial Plant Operations, focusing on managing complex industrial processes. POWT1234 Refrigeration and Power Lab Maintenance provides practical skills in maintaining refrigeration and power systems. POWT1235 Building Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning explores HVAC systems and their role in power engineering. POWT1241 Prime Movers and Auxiliaries teaches about turbines, pumps, compressors, and other mechanical components essential to power plants. POWT2244 4B Power Lab offers advanced hands-on training with high-pressure boilers, and THRM2201 Thermodynamics deepens understanding of heat transfer and energy conversion.
