COURSE CURRICULUM

The Management concentration within NAIT’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to develop essential leadership and management skills. In Level 1, students build a strong foundation through courses such as Introductory Financial Accounting, Business Productivity Software, Communications, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Fundamentals of Human Resources Management, Introduction to Marketing, Business Math, Principles of Management, and Organizational Behaviour. Level 2 advances knowledge with courses like Introductory Managerial Accounting, Business Law, Managing Business Information Technologies, Communications 2, Business Analytics and Data Visualization, Intrapreneurship and Innovation, Operations Management, Project Management, Strategic Management, and Business Statistics. Level 3 focuses on Applied Business Ethics, Corporate Finance for Managers, Leadership, Public Administration, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Critical Thinking and Analysis, and Advanced Strategic Management, with recommended electives in new venture planning, innovation, business modeling, Indigenous perspectives, performance management, and consumer behaviour. Level 4 deepens expertise with courses in Change Management, Organizational Theory and Design, Business and Competitive Analysis, Supply Chain Management, and International Business. Recommended electives include the BBA Capstone projects, Creating a Business Plan, Business Negotiations, Marketing Management, and Sales Management. This well-rounded program equips students with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required to lead effectively and succeed in diverse business environments.
