COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) – Accounting and Analytics specialization at NAIT offers a comprehensive and structured curriculum designed to build strong foundations in business and advanced expertise in accounting and data analytics. In Level 1, students are introduced to fundamental concepts through courses such as Introductory Financial Accounting, Business Productivity Software, Communications, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Marketing, Business Math, Principles of Management, and Organizational Behaviour. Level 2 deepens this foundation with courses like Financial Accounting Methods, Accounting Software Applications, Managerial Accounting, Business Law, Managing Business Information Technologies, Business Analytics and Data Visualization, and Business Statistics, alongside innovation and advanced communication studies. Level 3 focuses on more advanced content, including Intermediate Financial and Managerial Accounting, Introduction to Auditing, Data Preparation, Predictive Analytics, Applied Business Ethics, Corporate Finance, Leadership, and Taxation. In Level 4, students tackle complex topics such as Advanced Financial and Managerial Accounting, Operations and Production Management, and Business Strategy for Accountants. To complement the core curriculum, a variety of recommended electives are available, such as Not-for-Profit Accounting, Professional Ethics, Public Sector Reporting, Accounting Information Systems, Capstone Projects, Critical Reading and Writing, and Applied Research Methods. Additional auxiliary electives allow students to explore broader perspectives in areas like Mindfulness at Work, Sustainability, Indigenous Perspectives in Business, Occupational Health and Safety, and Diversity.
