The Master of Environmental Sciences (MESc) program at Nipissing University is designed for students with a background in core environmental science disciplines or related fields such as Ecology, Environmental Chemistry, Geosciences, Atmospheric Sciences, Physical Geography, Engineering, or Physics. The program focuses on understanding biotic, abiotic, and chemical processes at scales ranging from molecular to landscape levels. Faculty supervisors bring expertise across these areas and emphasize the integration of core disciplines with advanced technical skills including geomatics, remote sensing, computer modeling, data visualization, and analytical chemistry. This multidisciplinary approach prepares students to analyze complex environmental systems and human impacts on natural environments. The MESc program encourages applied research through active collaboration with government agencies, industry, and community partners, fostering practical solutions for environmental challenges.
