COURSE CURRICULUM

The Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Finance requires students to complete 60 credits, combining foundational business courses with specialized finance coursework. The program’s Post-Baccalaureate Core includes essential subjects such as Introductory Financial Accounting I and II, Business Mathematics, Introduction to Microeconomics, Marketing Concepts, Introduction to Organizational Behaviour, Management Accounting and Control I, Research in Management, Business Decision Making, Business Ethics, Commercial Law, Business Statistics, and Business Strategy and Policy I. These courses build a solid foundation in accounting, economics, management, and marketing necessary for a career in finance. The Area of Concentration requires completion of key finance courses including Financial Management I and II, Investments, Fundamentals of Financial Derivatives, and Financial Portfolio and Wealth Management. These courses provide students with critical knowledge in managing financial resources, understanding investment principles, and navigating complex financial instruments and portfolios. Additionally, students must select six credits from electives such as Money, Banking and the Canadian Financial System, International Financial Management, Insurance and Risk Management, Entrepreneurial Finance, and Mathematics of Finance, allowing for further specialization and a deeper understanding of financial markets and risk.
