COURSE CURRICULUM

Baccalaureate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Applications at Nipissing University, students must complete a total of 48 credits. The program is divided into core courses, advanced computer science electives, and additional electives. The 21-credit core curriculum includes essential topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Computational Theory, Computer Graphics, Programming Paradigms, Databases and Database Management, Machine Learning, and Digital Ethics. These foundational courses provide students with a strong understanding of AI concepts, data management, ethical considerations, and programming skills necessary for the field. In addition to the core courses, students must complete 21 credits from advanced computer science courses. These electives offer specialized knowledge in areas like Human Computer Interaction, 3D Computer Graphics, Advanced Game Design and Development, Distributed Systems, Topics in Computing Science, Seminars in Computer Science, Software Engineering, and Security and Protection. Finally, students must select 6 credits from additional upper-level courses if they have not already fulfilled these requirements through previous electives. These may include courses such as Tools and Techniques in Data Science, Data Analytics, and Spatial Computing.
